This meeting we started by discussing different signs for traveling and we learned about our member's experiences while they were on the road. Then, we discussed how Deaf/Hard of Hearing people can be provided the resources they need in order to vote! It's election season and the polls are not always DHH friendly. Thanks to the ADA, there are many resources available that we discussed to make the voting experience inclusive for everyone. We then highlighted our Deaf Owned Business of the Week-- ASL Slam! There is an event happening this month in NYC on Nov 20th hosted by ASL Slam. It is an open mic Deaf poetry and storytelling event that is available to everyone. This is a highly recommended Deaf event that many DHC members attend each month! We wrapped up our meeting with a game night!
