Deaf Culture Night Fall 2023
DHC welcomed the brilliantly talented Deaf Business Owner, Brittany from 58 Creativity! After a presentation that mentioned the importance of supporting Deaf Owned Businesses, her life experience, and what her business is all about, Brittany was selling some of her merchandise in person! We had such a great turn out and hope that everyone had a wonderful time!
DHC Goes to DC!
Members of the Deaf Hearing Connection Club took a day trip to Gallaudet University in Washington D.C! After a tour of the campus, club members gathered together for a photo in front of the infamous Clock Tower on GU's campus!
Signing Starbucks
During the annual trip to Gallaudet University, the members of DHC visited the Signing Starbucks that is unique to Washington D.C. and the Deaf community. There is total communication through American Sign Language or written English at this hot coffee spot. If you don't know sign language, you can write down your order on a special pad that is provided. A complete hands-up only environment!
